In November 2024, police responded to Red Roof Inn after an 11-month-old baby was reported unresponsive. The couple claimed the child had suddenly stopped breathing, but officers noticed SEVERE injuries while trying to save her. She was rushed to the hospital, where doctors found her condition didn’t match the explanation they had been given. At the scene, the couple claimed to officers that the baby’s injuries were caused by their dog jumping on her, “an explanation that differed from their initial statements and was inconsistent with medical findings.”
Investigators also discovered the woman had been using a false identity, later identifying her as Jamilee Hunt. Further medical testing revealed the infant had suffered multiple serious injuries, and doctors also found evidence of r*pe & s*xual assault. Prosecutors said Hunt failed to protect the child and was later found guilty on multiple charges. She was sentenced to life in prison on May 6th, 2026. The child’s father was also sentenced to life in prison and classified as a Tier III s*x offender. The infant survived and is continuing to recover with a new guardian.
